CURRICULAR INTERNSHIP UNIVERSITY OF NEW HEAVEN


1. Introduction

This project report describes the curricular internship program established between FDT Consulting Association, based in Rome, Italy, and University of New Haven – Rome, within the framework of academic cooperation and experiential learning.

The internship initiative is designed to provide students with a structured professional experience integrated into their academic pathway, in accordance with the agreements signed between the Host Organization and the Promoting Institution.

2. Purpose of the Internship Program

The curricular internship aims to offer trainees:

  • practical exposure to international and institutional consulting activities;

  • involvement in project-based work methodologies;

  • development of analytical, research and professional communication skills;

  • understanding of key topics related to sustainability, food security, international development and institutional environments.

The program is intended to complement academic education by strengthening applied competencies, professional awareness and organizational skills.

3. Host Organization: FDT Consulting Association

FDT Consulting Association operates in the field of consulting, project development and institutional cooperation, with a specific focus on:

  • international consulting and advisory services;

  • project design and support for organizations and institutions;

  • training, research and development initiatives;

  • cooperation with international entities and programs.

Within this framework, the Association provides trainees with a professional environment oriented toward responsibility, ethics, structured methodologies and multidisciplinary collaboration.

4. Structure and Modalities of the Internship

The internship activities are carried out in a hybrid format, including:

  • remote operational support;

  • on-site activities in Rome;

  • participation, where permitted, in institutional and project-related meetings, including initiatives connected with FAO-related environments.

The weekly schedule, activities and operational planning are defined by FDT Consulting Association, under the supervision of the Company Tutor, in alignment with academic requirements.

5. Training Program and Activities

The internship program includes, among others, the following activities:

  • research and analysis on international economic, development and sustainability topics;

  • data collection, organization and processing;

  • support in the preparation of professional documents, reports and presentations;

  • assistance in consulting and training projects promoted by FDT Consulting Association;

  • collaboration in educational and institutional initiatives;

  • support in communication, coordination and organizational activities related to projects.

6. Learning Outcomes

By the end of the internship, trainees are expected to have developed:

7. Supervision and Evaluation

The trainees operate under the supervision of the Company Tutor appointed by FDT Consulting Association, who is responsible for:

  • contributing to the final evaluation of the internship experience.

Periodic reporting and a final activity report constitute integral parts of the internship path.

8. Conclusion
