In 2021, the added value of industrial and service companies increased sharply

In 2021, there were almost 4.4 million industrial and service companies (+2.5% compared to 2020).

They generated an added value of €898 billion, up 21.6% compared to the previous year (37.4% in Construction, 20.5% in Industry and 20.3% in Services), recovering from the marked decline (-10.5%) of 2020; The increase is also significant compared to 2019 (+8.8%).

Double-digit increases were recorded for Ebitda-EBITDA (+33.9%), net sales (+22.4%) and labour costs (11.8%). Compared to 2019: +16.5% EBITDA, +8.5% turnover and +2.4% labour costs.

Companies organized in groups generate 64.2% of total turnover and 57.2% of added value, which grows by 21.4% compared to 2020 and 9.9% compared to 2019, also recovering the collapse of 2020 (-9.5%).
